This is a compact knife designed primarily for hunters as a skinning knife. The long deep upsweep of the blade lends itself perfectly for this purpose as well as detailed cutting. It is also a great everyday carry knife for regular cutting chores that do not require a large knife and does not take up much room on the belt.
Approximately 6 3/8" overall length with a 3" x 1 3/16" deep blade x 1/8" thick. Handle is 3 1/4" long in gunstock tiger maple with three brass pins.
Hand forged as always in my Vermont blacksmith shop from 5160 high carbon steel that is incredibly tough while keeping and holding and outstanding edge.
Each blade is forged from a single piece of high carbon steel. Distinctive forging marks are left to show these knives are handmade and have a natural aged appearance.
THE RIGHT HANDED SHEATH IS MADE FROM 8/9 OZ LEATHER THAT IS DOUBLE STITCHED WITH A FULL WELT. WATERPROOFED SIGNED AND DATED.
