This is my take on the classic "Frontier Trade Knife" that was so popular back in the eighteen hundreds.... the mountain man and buffalo hunter time in America.

This knife is built to work, either as a hunting knife, bushcraft or even in the kitchen as a carving or chef knife.

It has a straight back blade and is made from high carbon 5160 steel. It has a 5" long and 1 1/4" deep 5/32" thick tapered blade, with an overall length of approximately 9 3/4"

Available handle woods are.... Dark Gunstock Tiger maple ( Shown), Antique tiger maple, Antique cherry, Black walnut and reclaimed Vermont white oak barn wood.

This is similar to my regular small trapper pattern knife just bigger for those that prefer a longer blade.

The sheath is made from 8/9 oz leather that is hand stitched with a full welt, waterproofed, signed and dated.

I make all of my knives and sheaths right here in my Vermont blacksmith and woodworking shop since 1990.

Each blade is forged from a single piece of high carbon steel. Distinctive forging marks are left to show these knives are handmade and have a natural aged appearance.

All of my knives come with a lifetime warranty. If there is ever a problem I will repair or replace it for free. This does not include abuse or neglect of the knife, or other use than what it is intended for.

Available in several handle woods and either Left or Right hand leather sheaths.
