THESE ARE A SPECIAL EDITION VERSION OF MY KEPHART STYLE KNIVES WITH A CLIP POINT AND HEAVY SWEDGED BLADE.
ALL HAVE HANDLES THAT ARE APPROXIMTELY 4 3/4" LONG WITH 4 BRASS PINS AND MADE FROM A PIECE OF RESERVED GUNSTOCK TIGER MAPLE WOOD THAT HAS AN OUTSTANDING PROMINENT GRAIN.
THE 6" KNIFE HAS AN OVERALL LENGTH OF 10 3/4"
THE 4 1/2" KNIVES HAVE AN OVERALL LENGTH OF 9 3/8"
THE BLADES ARE APPROXIMATELY 3/16" THICK X 1 3/8" DEEP WITH FILE WORK JIMPING FOR A NON SLIP THUMB PRESSURE POINT WHEN DOING HEAVY CUTTING.
THESE ARE OUTSTANDING WOODS KNIVES. DESIGNED FOR OUTDOORSMAN, HUNTERS AND BUSHCRAFTING. A DIFFERENT TAKE ON A CLASSIC PATTERN KNIFE FOR THOSE THAT PREFER A MORE POINTED BLADE.
The blades have a dark aged finish which is also acid etched to help prevent rusting and corrosion.
Hand forged as always in my Vermont blacksmith shop. Made from high carbon 5160 steel. This steel in incredibly tough and takes and holds an outstanding edge.
The sheath is made from 9 / 10 oz leather that is double stitched with a full welt and copper saddle makers rivets at all critical stress points. Waterproofed, signed and dated.
Distinctive forging marks are left to show these knives are handmade and have a natural aged appearance.
All of my knives come with a lifetime warranty. If there is ever a problem I will repair or replace it for free. This does not include abuse or neglect of the knife, or other use than what it is intended for.
