THIS IS MY VERSION ON THE CLASSIC PATTERN "PENNSYLVANIA LONG KNIFE"

THIS KNIFE IS A COMBINATION OF SEVERAL STYLES OF LONG HUNTER KNIVES FROM THE 1800'S 

 THE PERFECT BLADE FOR HUNTERS AND GENERAL BUSCRAFT USE.

IT'S THINNER 5" BLADE IS WELL SUITED FOR USE IN THE FIELD AS A PATCH KNIFE FOR MUZZLELOADER HUNTERS AS WELL.

THIS KNIFE IS A SPECIAL EDITION TO MY STANDARD PATTERN OF THIS STYLE KNIFE.

HAVING A RESERVED PIECE OF HIGHLY FIGURED GUNSTOCK TIGER MAPLE FOR THE HANDLE, WITH CLASSIC BIRD BEAD STYLE PROFILE.

ALONG WITH FINE DETAILED JIMPING ON THE BLADE SPINE AND A LEATHER SHEATH WITH REINFORCING BAND ALONG WITH A REMOVABLE BELT DANGLER.

APPROXIMATELY 9 7/8 OVERALL LENGTH. THE BLADE IS 5" X 1" DEEP X 1/8" THICK... WITH A SWEDGED CLIP POINT.

I hand forged these, as always in my Vermont blacksmith shop from 5160 high carbon steel which is known for it's outstanding toughness and edge holding ability. Yet still easy to sharpen when needed.

Distinctive forging marks are left on the blade to show these knives are handmade and hand forged.

The blade is acid etched to help prevent rusting and corrosion. Which gives it a dark aged appearance

All of my knives come with a lifetime guarantee. If there is ever a problem I will repair or replace it for free. This does not include abuse or neglect of the knife, or other use than what is intended for which is cutting.
