THIS IS MY CLASSIC "COLD RIVER" CHEF / CARVING KNIFE .
THE FIRST CHEF KNIFE PATTERN THAT I MADE YEARS AGO. AND HAS BEEN REQUESTED MULTIPLE TIMES TO MAKE AVAILABLE AGAIN.
AN OUTSTANDING AND VERY CAPABLE KITCHEN KNIFE.
THE BLADE IS APPROXIMATELY 7" LONG X 1 3/4" DEEP AT IT'S WIDEST. WITH AN OVERALL LENGTH OF 11 3/4"
THE HANDLE IS MADE FROM A SPECIAL RESERVED PIECE OF HIGHLY FIGURED GUNSTOCK TIGER MAPLE WITH 4 FULL LENGTH BRASS PINS.

I hand forged these, as always in my Vermont blacksmith shop from 5160 high carbon steel which is known for it's outstanding toughness and edge holding ability. Yet still easy to sharpen when needed.
Distinctive forging marks are left on the blade to show these knives are handmade and hand forged.
The blade is acid etched to help prevent rusting and corrosion. Which gives it a dark aged appearance
All of my knives come with a lifetime guarantee. If there is ever a problem I will repair or replace it for free. This does not include abuse or neglect of the knife, or other use than what it is intended for which is cutting.
