Hand forged in my Vermont blacksmith shop from a vintage high carbon horseshoe rasp with a solid brass blade guard. Which is pinned and soldered in place. Handle is full tang construction.
This steel is 1095 and is known for it's toughness and edge holding abilities.
A long swedge on top of a deeply curved Bowie style blade allows for fine detailed cutting along with the ability to choke up on the blade for more controlled cutting. The walnut handle has finger grooves for a solid positive indexing of the fingers and a non slip grip.
This is an outstandingly versatile compact knife that can be used for hunting and bushcraft purposes or everyday carry and excels as a skinning knife.
Approximately 8 inches overall length with a 4" blade x 1 11/16" deep x 3/16" thick
The blade is also acid etched to help prevent rusting and corrosion. Which gives it a dark aged appearance
The wet formed sheath is made from 8/9 oz leather that is double stitched, waterproofed, signed and dated. Copper saddle makers rivets at all the stress points along with a button stud strap closer instead of a snap.
Distinctive forging marks are left to show these knives are handmade and have a natural aged appearance.
All of my knives come with a lifetime warranty. If there is ever a problem I will repair or replace it for free. This does not include abuse or neglect of the knife, or other use than what it is intended for.
