This is my rendition of the classic Will & Finck style hunting knives that were made between 1864 - 1932 These were considered to be one of the most classic hunting knife patterns ever made with several options of the same knife available at that time.
This one keeps the pronounced bird beak profile handle along with an upswept blade that has a deep belly to lend itself well for skinning game.
This is a big solid knife that can be used for heavy work as well. And a perfect woods knife for hunters and bushcrafters.
The handle is made from American black walnut with a brass bolster that is double pinned to the frame. Two "Loveless" bolts attaching the handle adds to the rugged heavy duty appearance.
A stunning knife that resembles the historic "Sandbar Bowie" Knife.
Approximately 11 5/8" long with a 6 1/2" long x 1 3/4" deep x just under 1/4" thick. Handle is 5 1/8" long
I hand forged these as always in my Vermont blacksmith shop. Made from a vintage 1095 high carbon horseshoe rasp. This steel in incredibly tough and takes and holds an outstanding edge.
Distinctive forging marks are left to show these knives are handmade and have a natural aged appearance.
The sheath is made from 9/10 oz leather that is double stitched with a full welt and copper saddle makers rivets at all critical stress points. Waterproofed, signed and dated.
All of my knives come with a lifetime warranty. If there is ever a problem I will repair or replace it for free. This does not include abuse or neglect of the knife, or other use than what it is intended for.
