This is a medium size knife designed primarily for the hunter in mind with it's slightly up swept curved skinning blade.
It also is a perfect EDC knife for carrying on your hip for work and around the farm.
This is a heavy duty knife that can be depended on to work when you need it regardless of the task at had.
Finger grooves in the handle make for a very comfortable grip. Designed to be held high up on the blade for more control when cutting.
The blade is 3 1/4" long x 1 5/8" deep x 3/16" thick with file work jimping to aid in keeping the thumb from slipping during heavy cutting. Approximately 6 15/16" overall length.
The 3 5/8" long handle in gunstock tiger maple has brass pins and brass lanyard hole with leather lanyard.
The blade is acid etched to help prevent rusting and corrosion. Which gives it a dark aged appearance.
I hand forge these as always in my Vermont blacksmith shop. Made from high carbon 5160 steel. This steel is incredibly tough and takes and holds an outstanding edge.
The sheath is made from 9 oz leather that is double stitched with a full welt and copper saddle makers rivets at all critical stress points. Waterproofed, signed and dated.
Distinctive forging marks are left to show these knives are handmade and have a natural aged appearance.
All of my knives come with a lifetime warranty. If there is ever a problem I will repair or replace it for free. This does not include abuse or neglect of the knife, or other use than what it is intended for.
