Special edition short blade everyday carry knives made from a vintage high carbon horseshoe rasp which is approximately 1095 high carbon steel. This steel is tough and takes and holds and incredible edge.
These "Clip point" style blades are great for everyday work or small camp chores as well as a backup self defense blade. They also make for a perfect hunting and fishing pack knives.
Approximately 6 3/4" long with a 3 3/8" x 1 3/8" deep clip point blade with deep top edge swedge.
The handles are reclaimed Vermont old growth white oak barn wood with three brass pins.
This wood comes from a barn that was taken down years ago in Charlotte Vermont that was several hundred years old at the time it was dismantled.
The heavy leather upgraded cross draw right hand sheath has double reinforced stitching and a button stud retainer instead of a snap. This style of sheath can be used in a scout carry method as well.
The blade is also acid etched to help prevent rusting and corrosion. Which gives it a dark aged appearance.
The sheath is made from 9/10 oz leather that is double stitched with a full welt and copper saddle makers rivets at all critical stress points.
I hand forged these as always, in my Vermont blacksmith shop.
Distinctive forging marks are left to show these knives are handmade and have a natural aged appearance.
All of my knives come with a lifetime warranty. If there is ever a problem I will repair or replace it for free. This does not include abuse or neglect of the knife, or other use than what it is intended for.
