Another knife in my "Expedition Series" which are intended and designed for survival and defense situations.
This is a big tough knife made for heavy use.
This style knife is based off of several patterns from American History of the past. Its primary purpose would be as a heavy blade knife for chopping. Whether that is firewood, camp chores or game processing and of course self defense.
An extremely versatile knife that can be used for may purposes, and handle whatever it's called to do.
The over all length is 14 1/4" long with a 9 1/4" long x 1 3/4" x a heavy 3/16" thick. The 5" long handle is American walnut with heavy duty Loveless bolts along with brass lanyard hole with leather lanyard.
Hand forged as always in my Vermont blacksmith shop. Made from a vintage 1095 high carbon horseshoe rasp. This steel in incredibly tough and takes and holds an incredible edge.
The blade is also acid etched to help prevent rusting and corrosion. Which gives it a dark aged appearance.
The sheath is made from 9/10 oz leather that is double stitched with a full welt and copper saddle makers rivets at all critical stress points. Waterproofed, signed and dated.
Distinctive forging marks are left to show these knives are handmade and have a natural aged appearance.
All of my knives come with a lifetime warranty. If there is ever a problem I will repair or replace it for free. This does not include abuse or neglect of the knife, or other use than what it is intended for.
