This is a heavy blade hunting knife designed primarily for skinning game but also made to cover other cutting needs in the field as an outstanding bushcraft /survival style knife.
The blade is approximately 4 1/8" long with a cutting edge of 3 3/4" x 1 9/16" deep x 5/32" thick. There is a finger indent right behind the cutting edge to aid in choking up on the blade for fine detailed work along with file work jimping on the spine for a good thumb purchase without slipping. The overall length is 8 13/16" long
The contoured dark walnut handle has finger grooves for a more comfortable grip in the hand. Along with a lanyard hole and full length brass pins.
Hand forged as always in my Vermont blacksmith shop. Made from high carbon 5160 steel. This steel in incredibly tough and takes and holds an outstanding edge.
The sheath is made from 9 oz leather that is double stitched with a full welt and copper saddle makers rivets at all critical stress points. Waterproofed, signed and dated.
Distinctive forging marks are left to show these knives are handmade and have a natural aged appearance.
All of my knives come with a lifetime warranty. If there is ever a problem I will repair or replace it for free. This does not include abuse or neglect of the knife, or other use than what it is intended for.
