These drop point style work knives are great for everyday or small camp chores as well as a backup self defense blade.
They also make for perfect hunting and fishing pack knives.
Made from a vintage high carbon horseshoe rasp which is approximately 1095 high carbon steel. This steel is tough and takes and holds and incredible edge.
Approximately 6 1/2" long with a 3 1/8" x 1 3/8" deep drop point blade with deep top edge swedge. The handles are in my high grain gunstock tiger maple with three brass pins.
File work jimping has been added, preventing the thumb from slipping while pressing down for heavy cutting.
THIS BLADE HAS MY ENHANCED DARK AGED FINISH. ALONG WITH ACID ETCHED TO HELP PREVENT RUSTING AND CORROSION.
The sheath is made from 9/10 oz leather that is double stitched with a full welt and copper saddle makers rivets at all critical stress points.
I hand forged these as always, in my Vermont blacksmith shop.
Distinctive forging marks are left to show these knives are handmade and have a natural aged appearance.
All of my knives come with a lifetime warranty. If there is ever a problem I will repair or replace it for free. This does not include abuse or neglect of the knife, or other use than what it is intended for.
