This knife is intended as a secondary or primary blade that does not take up much room on your belt or pack, but ready to work at a moments notice.
Made for the rancher in mind and for general everyday carry, this knife has the classic Texas Lone Star Concho attached adding to the stunning look of the black leather sheath.
Approximately 6 3/4" long with a 3 1/2" x 1 3/8" deep clip point blade with long top edge swedge. Filework jimping is added for a better thumb purchase while doing heavy cutting.
I hand forged as always in my Vermont blacksmith shop. Made from a vintage high carbon horseshoe rasp which is approximately 1095 high carbon steel. This steel is tough, and takes and holds and incredible edge.
This blade has my enhanced dark aged finish. Along with acid etched to help prevent rusting and corrosion.
Distinctive forging marks are left to show these knives are handmade and have a natural aged appearance.
The handle is reclaimed Vermont old growth, white oak barn wood with three brass pins.
This wood comes from a barn that was taken down years ago in Charlotte Vermont that was several hundred years old at the time it was dismantled.
The right hand vertical carry sheath is made from 8/9 oz leather that is double stitched with a full welt. Waterproofed signed and dated.
