Here is another door pull to come out of out blacksmith shop, here in the green mountains of Vermont.
It is a reproduction of a classic early American style called "Ball and Spear" which was very popular in colonial style homes.
These as well as all our door pulls, are hand forged from a single piece of iron. Heated in our coal fired forge and hammered to shape on an antique anvil.
The iron we use for these pulls is 1" wide x 5/16" thick for a very substantial handle. Grab onto one of our pulls and you know it is handmade, no flimsy stampings here. There is nothing like hand forged iron hardware.
They are approximately 14" long and the ball ends are 2 1/2" in diameter. Mounting screws are included with each handle.
Shown in our black oil finish but also available in our rust brown and gray forge finishes.
