This is a field knife that has several styles that I combined to come up with this pattern. It is has both the traditional sweeping blade of a Nessmuk style for skinning and the narrower shape of a Kephart for camp use and general bushcrafting. Along with the lines of a traditional Hudson Bay pattern.
The knife is approximately 9 3/4" long overall. Handle is 4 1/4" and the blade is about 5 1/2" long and 1 3/8" at its widest point. The blade is 5/32" thick full tang. This is a heavy duty blade that can stand up to batoning.
Made from 5160 high carbon steel that will hold an edge and is known for its toughness and durability.
The sheath is made from 8 oz leather that is hand stitched with a full welt, waterproofed, signed and dated. This knife is made for outdoor use, whether it is field dressing game or chores around the camp.
I make all of my knives and sheaths right here in my Vermont blacksmith and woodworking shop since 1990.
Each blade is forged from a single piece of high carbon steel. Distinctive forging marks are left to show these knives are handmade and have a natural aged appearance.
All of my knives come with a lifetime warranty. If there is ever a problem I will repair or replace it for free. This does not include abuse or neglect of the knife, or other use than what it is intended for.
Available in several handle woods and either Left or Right hand leather sheaths.
