This is the mid size version based on my "Dark Horsman" pattern knife in gunstock tiger maple.
Overall length is 10 inches with a blade length of 5 1/2 x 1 9/16" deep x 3/16" thick approximately.
The handle which comes from a special ****reserved piece**** of extremely highly figured gunstock tiger maple. Having contoured finger grooves for a positive comfortable grip in the hand.
Jimping is added on the spine of the blade for a solid thumb purchase for heavy cutting.
This is a fast handling blade designed for outdoorsman, hunters and bushcrafting.
The heavy swedge on the top of the blade makes for a fine point for detailed work while still thick enough for heavy cutting.
The blade has a dark aged finish which is also acid etched to help prevent rusting and corrosion.
Hand forged as always in my Vermont blacksmith shop. Made from high carbon 5160 steel. This steel in incredibly tough and takes and holds an outstanding edge.
The sheath is made from 9 / 10 oz leather that is double stitched with a full welt and copper saddle makers rivets at all critical stress points. Waterproofed, signed and dated.
Distinctive forging marks are left to show these knives are handmade and have a natural aged appearance.
All of my knives come with a lifetime warranty. If there is ever a problem I will repair or replace it for free. This does not include abuse or neglect of the knife, or other use than what it is intended for.
